Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care during overnight MST coverage
• Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and document changes accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with policies
• Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively, initiating appropriate interventions
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
• Prior experience in acute care or relevant clinical setting preferred
• Familiarity with MST practices or willingness to learn the specialty
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented approach with strong communication and collaboration skills
• Comfort managing acute patient needs overnight
