Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day). 30 hours/week. No weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 30
Candidate Pay Rate: $38 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and create individualized treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to pediatric and/or adult clients within the facility
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support positive outcomes
- Document therapy sessions, progress notes and discharge summaries accurately and timely
- Educate patients, families and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing at home
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews and quality improvement initiatives to enhance care
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in Maine
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Experience working in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is a plus
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Current CPR/first aid certification or willingness to obtain if required by facility
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech, language and swallowing interventions
- Skilled in conducting standardized and informal assessments
- Proficient documentation and electronic health record skills
- Ability to adapt therapy to individual patient needs and cognitive levels
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families and interdisciplinary staff
