Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced ER environment
- Initiate and manage emergent interventions to stabilize patients
- Administer medications and therapies safely, following protocols and physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver seamless care
- Document patient status, interventions, and handoffs clearly in the EMR
- Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and follow-up
- Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Previous Emergency Room or urgent care experience preferred
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a hectic clinical setting
- Ability to work per diem shifts, including the scheduled date of March 13, 2026
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong triage and rapid assessment skills
- Proficient with IV starts, medication administration, and emergency procedures
- Familiarity with common ER equipment and monitors
- Effective communication and teamwork under pressure
- Accurate, timely EMR charting and documentation
- Clinical judgment for prioritizing care in busy settings
