Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care for assigned patients
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes
- Assess patients regularly and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for best outcomes
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (or compact equivalent if applicable)
- Telemetry nursing experience or demonstrated competency in cardiac monitoring
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to work per-diem night shifts and respond to staffing needs
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
- Skilled in patient assessment, IV medication administration, and cardiac meds
- Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
- Prioritization and time management in a fast-paced acute care setting
