Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and support their dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
- Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and observations
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and coworkers
- Collaborate with nurses and team members to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Valid CNA authorization in California (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work per diem shifts, including weekends
- Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and a patient-first mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational patient care and comfort measures
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Accurate charting and effective communication with clinical teams
- Basic infection control and patient safety practices
