Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced ER setting
• Administer medications, start and manage IVs, and perform necessary bedside procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Maintain situational awareness and escalate concerns to ensure patient safety

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (California license required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Prior emergency department experience preferred but motivated new ER nurses will be considered
• Current CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in high-acuity situations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV placement and medication administration
• Familiarity with common ER procedures and rapid decision-making
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Teamwork, adaptability, and strong clinical judgment under pressure
• Basic wound care, splinting, and cardiac rhythm recognition
