Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and report vital signs and observe changes in patient condition
- Assist nursing staff with safe patient transfers and ambulation
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and team members
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in California (required)
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) on per-diem assignments
- Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and high school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with charting/documentation and reporting changes to nursing staff
- Understanding of infection control, safety protocols, and patient privacy
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting
