Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility while following safety protocols
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and adhere to infection control practices
- Support the care team with timely documentation and effective communication
- Offer emotional support and respectful interaction to patients and families
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous patient care experience in a clinical setting is a plus
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working overnight shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of fundamentals of patient care and ADLs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Comfortable with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
- Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
