Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed nursing care to patients enrolled in MST programs
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor clinical status throughout the shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and per provider orders
- Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
- Communicate and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to support patient-focused care plans
- Educate patients and families on care plans, safety, and resources
- Recognize and escalate changes in condition to the appropriate provider
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Experience or training in trauma-informed care or MST preferred
- Comfort and ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and team collaboration
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Trauma-informed care principles and sensitivity to MST-related needs
- Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
- Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
- Accurate electronic health record documentation
- Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage time during overnight shifts
