Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages with compassion and urgency.
• Perform rapid triage and assessment to prioritize care in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Document clinical findings and interventions thoroughly and professionally.
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment plans, and follow-up needs.
• Maintain a calm, organized presence during high-acuity situations and support overall department flow.

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Emergency nursing experience preferred — you know how to thrive in the ER.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Ability to work per-diem shifts, including the specific date/time listed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid clinical assessment skills for emergency presentations.
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care competency.
• Cardiac monitoring and ability to recognize critical rhythms.
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records.
• Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and prioritization in high-stress situations.
• Team-oriented mindset and clear communication under pressure.
