Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical treatment services using evidence-based mental health therapeutic techniques
- Deliver individual, group, and family psychotherapy tailored to consumer needs
- Respond to emergency mental health situations and provide timely crisis intervention
- Offer information, referral, and consumer support services to connect clients with resources
- Conduct community education and outreach to raise awareness of mental health issues
- Consult with staff and external partners to coordinate care for clients in special populations
- Document clinical work accurately and collaborate with the Clinical Manager and Director of Outreach Services
Qualifications
- Master's degree in behavioral science, nursing sciences, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Washington State licensure as an LMHC, LMFT, LICSW, or MHP (required)
- At least 2 years of experience in the treatment of consumers in the assigned program area
- Ability to use good judgment and perform responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Qualification under WAC 246-341-0515 for any additional specialty areas (children, elderly, developmental disabilities, minorities, hearing impaired, or emergency services) when applicable
Education
- Master's degree in behavioral science, nursing sciences, social work, or related field (accredited)
Knowledge & Skills
- Mental health therapeutic techniques and clinical treatment approaches
- Individual, group, and family psychotherapy skills
- Crisis and emergency services response
- Information and referral processes and consumer support services
- Community education and consultation abilities
- Awareness of community mental health issues and local resources
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision
