Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform screening mammography exams with technical excellence and compassion to support early detection
- Operate mammography equipment safely and accurately, ensuring high-quality image capture
- Follow ACR and MQSA standards for image quality, documentation, and regulatory compliance
- Lead and participate in mammography quality assurance activities to maintain program integrity
- Provide patient education and comfort measures, fostering a positive, respectful patient experience
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and the clinical team to optimize workflow and patient care
Qualifications
- ARRT certification with advanced mammography credentials (required)
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist licensure (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Experience with mammography quality assurance and image documentation
- Strong patient communication skills and commitment to compassionate care
- Familiarity with ACR and MQSA standards and documentation practices
Knowledge & Skills
- Screening mammography techniques and patient positioning
- Operation and routine maintenance of mammography equipment
- QA processes for mammography and image quality assessment
- Understanding and applying ACR and MQSA standards
- Proficient documentation and communication with radiology teams
- Basic life support (BLS) and patient safety practices
