Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting findings accurately
- Ensure patient rooms and care areas are clean, comfortable, and safe
- Support patients’ emotional needs through respectful, patient-centered communication
- Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable transportation to get to shifts as scheduled
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental patient care skills and familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living)
- Basic clinical documentation and charting
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes clearly
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
