Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Support patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Document patient interactions and care activities in a clear, timely way
• Assist with safe patient transfers and maintain safety protocols at all times
• Communicate respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) valid in California
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain prior to shift
• Current immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Ability to pass background check and any facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable with 12-hour day shifts and capable of safe patient handling
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control best practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Good observational skills and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Teamwork, adaptability, and a positive bedside manner
