Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on basic nursing care to patients with dignity and respect
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and maintain proper infection control practices
- Document care clearly and timely in the patient record to ensure continuity
- Communicate effectively with nurses, patients, and families to support care plans
- Contribute to a positive patient experience by being attentive, kind, and reliable
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Active state registration or certification in California preferred
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and basic clinical tasks
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain when hired
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA program or equivalent training
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient safety and infection control best practices
- Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition
- Compassionate bedside manner and respectful communication
