Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes with confidence
• Assess patients regularly and communicate findings clearly to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health staff to develop and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about their condition, telemetry findings and discharge plans
• Prioritize patient safety, infection control and bedside handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) — able to practice in California or eligible to obtain state licensure
• Telemetry experience or demonstrated comfort with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and occupational health screenings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Patient assessment and early recognition of clinical deterioration
• Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
• Electronic health record documentation and charting best practices
• Effective communication with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
• Prioritization and time management in a fast-paced acute care setting
