Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes with confidence
- Assess patients regularly and communicate findings clearly to the interdisciplinary team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately in the medical record
- Collaborate with physicians and allied health staff to develop and update individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families about their condition, telemetry findings and discharge plans
- Prioritize patient safety, infection control and bedside handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license (RN) — able to practice in California or eligible to obtain state licensure
- Telemetry experience or demonstrated comfort with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and occupational health screenings
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Patient assessment and early recognition of clinical deterioration
- Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
- Electronic health record documentation and charting best practices
- Effective communication with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
- Prioritization and time management in a fast-paced acute care setting
