Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately and promptly
- Assist nursing staff with transfers, bathing, dressing, and toileting while maintaining patient dignity
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the care team to ensure coordinated care
- Support admissions, discharges, and smooth transitions of care with attention to detail
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable providing direct patient care and assisting with mobility and ADLs
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamental nursing care and patient safety practices
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Clear verbal communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
- Time management and dependable attendance for scheduled shifts
