Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night shifts; specific days vary)

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to keep patients safe
- Manage PCU/Stepdown patients at a 1:4 ratio with skill and compassion
- Administer IV therapies, blood products, and manage central/peripheral lines
- Follow IV insulin and heparin protocols and titrate drips when indicated
- Care for tracheostomies, non-invasive airway devices (CPAP/BiPAP/HFNC) and ventilated patients
- Perform wound care and manage Wound VAC therapy to promote healing
- Respond effectively as part of Rapid Response/Code teams during emergencies
- Document thoroughly in EPIC to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Collaborate with PT/RT/pharmacy/social work and other supports for holistic care
- Provide patient and family education with empathy and clarity
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (state requirements must be met)
- Minimum 2 years of RN clinical experience (must include some ER, MS/Tele, or Telemetry/PCU experience)
- Certifications required/expected: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
- Comfort working 1:4 patient ratios in a PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry environment
- Experience with EPIC documentation and strong charting skills
- Ability to manage cardiac/vasoactive drips, insulin/heparin protocols, and blood product administration
Education
- Nursing diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- PCU/Stepdown clinical care and rapid assessment skills
- IV therapy, PICC/central line care, and phlebotomy basics
- Tracheostomy care, non-invasive airway management, and ventilator basics
- Wound care and Wound VAC management
- ABG interpretation, oxygen therapies, CPAP/BiPAP and HFNC
- Familiarity with EPIC charting and accurate documentation
- Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams and utilize Rapid Response/Code teams
