Shift Type: 4x10 day schedule, 06:30 AM - 05:00 PM (Day shift). On-call: 1 call day per week and one weekend on-call every 5-6 weeks. Specific weekdays not specified.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform EKG lead placement and accurate patient monitoring to support safe procedures
- Scrub and maintain the sterile field during diagnostic and interventional cases
- Serve as room circulator and assist the procedural team to keep cases flowing
- Support diagnostic procedures and a full range of PCI work including stents, balloon angioplasty and advanced devices such as Impella and IABP
- Assist with structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Watchman and balloon valvuloplasty
- Provide electrophysiology support for EPS, ablations and mapping procedures
- Manage temporary pacemakers and assist with pacemaker and AICD insertion and programming
- Document procedures and care appropriately in the electronic health record (EPIC)
Qualifications
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Certifying credentials: ARRT-R or CCI RCIS (one required) or WA RT or CIS License (one required)
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required; first-timers not accepted
- Travel experience required and able to work a travel contract (local travelers within 50 miles are not eligible)
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required
- Pending licenses are not accepted
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac catheterization and cath lab procedures including left and right heart cath
- Percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and PTCA
- Familiarity with Impella insertion, IABP and rotational atherectomy
- Electrophysiology knowledge: EPS, arrhythmia induction, mapping and ablation
- Rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring expertise
- Temporary pacemaker management and AICD/pacemaker insertion support
- Sterile technique, scrub and room circulation skills
- Comfort charting in EPIC and working within interdisciplinary teams
