Shift Type: 3x12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Night shift (every other weekend required)

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Continuously monitor telemetry and quickly recognize and respond to rhythm changes
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity and safety
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
- Float between similar units as needed to meet facility staffing needs while maintaining care standards
- Support unit staffing and patient flow during weekend and night coverage
- Follow ACLS, BLS and NIH stroke protocols to deliver evidence-based interventions
Qualifications
- Active RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Comfort and experience working 12-hour night shifts and covering every-other-weekend
- Willingness to float between like units and be a flexible team player
- Flu vaccine required (medical or religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
- First-time travel nurses are welcome
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
- Medical-surgical patient care and prioritization
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Comfort working in a Level III Trauma Center / teaching hospital environment
- Ability to manage typical MS/Tele ratios (approximately 1:5-6)
- Effective communication and teamwork during night shift operations
