Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care provided
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and staff
• Follow infection control and facility safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current state registry listing or eligibility to be listed in North Carolina
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and teamwork mindset
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Clear verbal and written communication with care teams
• Observation skills to identify and report changes in condition
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
