Shift Type: Flexible/varied schedule (must be available for varied hours); approximately 30 to 35.9 hours per week; 8-hour non-billable orientation. Exact daily start/end times and days are variable and will be scheduled with the facility (block scheduling not available).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality cardio-pulmonary care and respiratory interventions per physician orders
- Perform diagnostic cardiology support such as EKGs, stress testing, Holter and event monitoring, and EEGs
- Cross-train across department duties to ensure smooth patient flow and coverage
- Monitor, document and communicate patient responses to treatments and escalate changes appropriately
- Maintain accurate records in the electronic health record (Meditech Expanse experience preferred)
- Educate patients and families about respiratory care plans and follow-up
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and departmental policies at all times
Qualifications
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification — NBRC credential required
- Minimum 5 years current RRT experience (required)
- Massachusetts Registered Respiratory Therapist license in hand at time of application (client will not pend licensure)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required)
- Ability to cross-train in cardiology diagnostics: EKG, stress testing, Holter/Event monitoring, EEG
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years (required)
- Must have own reliable vehicle for this assignment
- Applicants residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered — include permanent address at profile upload
- Include full work history, skills checklist, and any requested RTO at time of submission
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cardiopulmonary clinical knowledge and hands-on respiratory therapy skills
- Proficient with EKGs, stress testing protocols, Holter and event monitor setup and analysis
- Familiarity with EEG basics and assisting technologists as needed
- Comfortable using electronic health records (Meditech Expanse preferred)
- Excellent clinical documentation and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize, triage, and respond to changing patient needs
- Team-player mindset with strong patient education skills
