Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts (schedule varies) with a 36-hour guarantee; weekends and holidays required as scheduled. Casual option requires a minimum commitment of 48 hours/month (24 weekend hours) and 24 holiday hours annually.

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients holistically—physical, emotional, psychosocial and family support needs—to drive excellent care plans
- Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care according to individualized plans and clinical pathways
- Evaluate patient progress using clinical judgment and the nursing process to ensure goals are met
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement comprehensive, evidence-based care for neuro/neurosurgical and trauma patients
- Perform critical care interventions and monitor complex patients in ICU/PCU/telemetry settings with accuracy and compassion
- Document care thoroughly and efficiently in Epic to support continuity and quality of care
- Adhere to ACLS and BLS protocols and lead resuscitative efforts when necessary
Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys must show active status)
- Minimum 2+ years of RN experience (critical care/neuro/trauma experience highly valued)
- Clinical training or experience in MS/PCU/ICU/Telemetry (required)
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Recent travel nurse experience highly preferred
- Two supervisory references completed within the last two years
- Current skills checklist (to within 1 year) pertinent to the specialty
- Comfort with Epic EMR and interdisciplinary collaboration
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment, care planning and progress evaluation
- Neurosurgical, neurological and trauma critical care principles
- Telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS/BLS)
- Care coordination and interdisciplinary communication
- Use of the nursing process to drive safe, high-quality outcomes
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records
- Ability to adapt to travel assignments across multiple facilities
