Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across specialties including breast imaging, vascular studies, small parts, and first-trimester obstetrics
• Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and interventional procedures with precision and care
• Provide high-quality imaging services for both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring excellent patient experience
• Accurately document procedures and findings in the medical record and communicate results to the care team
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to ensure reliable performance
• Participate in call rotation when scheduled and respond promptly to urgent imaging needs
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and radiation protection protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound technologist experience
• ARDMS registration or ARRT(S) certification required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Hands-on experience with breast imaging, vascular ultrasound, small parts, and first-trimester OB
• Comfortable assisting with biopsies and interventional ultrasound procedures
• Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient environments and participate in call rotation
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and patient-centered care approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with ultrasound modalities: breast, vascular, small parts, and obstetric first trimester
• Skilled in biopsy assistance and sterile technique for ultrasound-guided procedures
• Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient imaging workflows
• Strong patient positioning, image acquisition, and documentation skills
• Ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and interfaces with PACS
