Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT and radiographic exams while positioning patients safely and compassionately
- Operate CT scanners, power injectors, C-arm and fluoroscopy equipment following manufacturer guidelines
- Assist radiologists with routine and interventional CT procedures to support accurate diagnoses
- Evaluate images for technical quality, label and transmit studies to PACS in a timely manner
- Demonstrate safe IV placement and administer IV contrast per protocol and ALARA principles
- Maintain accurate patient records, including charges, in the EHR and support clerical tasks as needed
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls when required
- Train, assist, and cross-train imaging staff to strengthen team capabilities and workflow
- Manage inventory and supply ordering to keep the department running smoothly
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT registration in Radiology with CT (and MRI preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing CT technologist
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days)
- Demonstrated proficiency in IV placement and contrast administration
- Experience with PACS, RIS/HIS and electronic health records
- Able to pass background check, drug screen, and meet Employee Health requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and at least 18 years old
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT registration (CT preferred) and current BLS
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient positioning and compassionate patient communication
- Image acquisition, evaluation for technical quality, and labeling
- Radiation safety and ALARA practices
- CT scanner operation, power injector use, and contrast protocols
- Fluoroscopy and C-arm experience for OR and interventional support
- PACS, RIS/HIS and EHR workflow and image transmission
- Equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance coordination
- Ability to train and cross-train staff across imaging modalities
