Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); rotating 12-hour Day/Night coverage possible depending on unit needs; self-schedule requests accepted prior to finalizing; weekends variable; schedule reviewed every 4 weeks

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate nursing care to adults and geriatric patients with newly diagnosed acute leukemia and hematology needs
- Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and interpret dysrhythmias to guide timely interventions
- Administer and manage IV therapy, blood products, central and peripheral lines, and PICC care safely
- Respond as an active member of Rapid Response Teams and assist in emergency cardiac monitoring and interventions
- Manage feeding tubes and other specialty devices while following strict infection prevention protocols
- Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC to maintain clear interdisciplinary communication
- Support patient safety initiatives, including falls prevention and high-quality bedside care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social work, radiology) to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (required)
- ONS Chemo Certification (preferred, not required)
- NIHSS certification (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years)
- At least 1 year of current specialty experience required for clinical pass
- Travel experience required (first-time travelers will be screened by client)
- Experience with EPIC computerized charting
- Comfort working in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown environments and managing high-volume blood product administration
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs
- Blood product administration and central line blood draws
- Central line, peripheral line, and PICC line care/management
- Feeding tube care and management
- Infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention
- Use of Rapid Response Teams and emergency cardiac response
- Familiarity with B450/GE telemetry systems, Alaris pumps, bladder scanners, and Stryker beds
- Strong clinical judgment, patient-focused communication, and teamwork
