Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); schedule variable/rotating based on department priorities with schedules assessed every 4-week period; weekends variable

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for adults and geriatrics with solid tumor oncology diagnoses
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to ensure timely intervention
- Safely start and maintain IVs, perform central line blood draws, and manage blood product administration
- Follow infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions to protect vulnerable patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (PT, RT, pharmacy, social work, radiology) to coordinate care
- Support patients through the full cancer care continuum — from diagnosis to treatment and end-of-life transitions
- Use EPIC for computerized charting and accurate documentation
- Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed and contribute to a flexible, team-first environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license per facility/state requirements
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (must meet experience requirements within the last 3 years; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required for a clinical pass)
- BLS certification (required)
- Telemetry interpretation and monitoring experience (required)
- IV therapy, central line access/blood draw, and blood product administration experience
- EPIC charting experience (required)
- ONS Chemo certification preferred for chemotherapy administration
- Previous travel nurse experience preferred but not required
- Comfort with tracheostomy care and management, and ability to follow isolation precautions/PPE protocols
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- IV access, maintenance, and central line procedures
- Blood product administration and phlebotomy skills
- EPIC electronic charting proficiency
- Infection prevention practices and isolation precautions
- Oncology fundamentals and familiarity with common solid tumor diagnoses
- Tracheostomy care and respiratory support basics
- Ability to float across MedSurg Oncology units and adapt to changing patient needs
