Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for oncology patients across the entire treatment journey, acting as a trusted central point of contact
• Provide clear, compassionate patient education about diagnosis, treatment plans, and symptom management
• Collaborate closely with oncology providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions
• Support infusion clinic operations and workflows to keep treatments running safely and efficiently
• Perform IV starts and assist with port/PICC access when necessary
• Support chemotherapy and biotherapy treatment workflows and medication coordination
• Coordinate imaging, specialty referrals, and prior authorizations to keep care moving
• Document accurate clinical and care coordination notes in Cerner to maintain continuity and quality

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Oncology Nurse Navigator experience
• ONC certification required
• Strong background in oncology nursing, especially outpatient/infusion settings
• Experience with IV starts and port/PICC access
• Familiarity with chemotherapy/biotherapy workflows and oral chemotherapy coordination
• Experience using Cerner EMR and strong clinical documentation skills
• Preferred: ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification and prior oncology navigation program experience

• Prior authorization and referral coordination processes
