Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within the Paramedic scope of practice, delivering calm, skilled emergency care when it matters most
- Perform complete, population-specific patient assessments to establish care priorities and deliver appropriate interventions
- Administer emergency medications in accordance with Wyoming scope of practice and applicable protocols
- Accurately document assessments and treatments using the WATRS reporting system in line with Wyoming statutes
- Ensure ambulances and station equipment are maintained, clean, stocked and ready for service at all times
- Assist with patient care in other departments as requested, working under RN/provider direction within scope
- Prioritize tasks and manage time, personnel and resources to help the department meet goals and standards
- Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and operational readiness
Qualifications
- Current Paramedic license (Paramedic credential required — DO NOT SUBMIT EMTs)
- Minimum of 1 year of Paramedic experience required
- Familiarity with the Wyoming Scope of Practice for Paramedics and state regulations
- Experience documenting patient care in the WATRS reporting system
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambulance readiness, station maintenance and supply needs
- Comfort working under RN/provider direction when assisting with care in other departments
Knowledge & Skills
- Direct patient care and emergency assessment expertise
- Proficient in emergency medication administration per protocol
- Skilled documentation using WATRS and adherence to state statutes
- Ambulance readiness, equipment checks and station maintenance
- Strong time management, task prioritization and resource coordination
- Ability to work collaboratively with RNs, providers and other team members
