Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: primarily 3 x 12-hour night shifts with call; position may also participate in rotating day/night 12-hour call schedule. Exact start/end times set by facility.

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality respiratory care and cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages and acuity levels
- Manage and optimize mechanical ventilation and advanced ventilator strategies for critical care patients
- Deliver neonatal and pediatric respiratory support with competence and compassion
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in rapid response and code events as needed
- Perform ABG analysis, monitor patient respiratory status, and titrate therapies appropriately
- Document patient care accurately and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment and ensure infection-control standards
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — REQUIRED (CRT not considered)
- Valid Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing
- Current AHA certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP — ALL REQUIRED
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (as required for licensure)
- Proven critical care and mechanical ventilation experience; neonatal and pediatric experience required
- Comfort with night shifts and call responsibilities; strong teamwork and communication skills
- Please submit: Skill Sheet, current resume, Colorado RT license, and AHA certifications
Education
- Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy program required for licensure (per DORA guidelines)
Knowledge & Skills
- Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator weaning
- Critical care respiratory interventions and protocols
- Neonatal and pediatric respiratory care and procedures
- Cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures (ABGs, pulmonary function basics as applicable)
- Life support certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Ability to triage, prioritize, and function in high-acuity situations
- Strong documentation, patient education, and interdisciplinary communication
