Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in alignment with facility policies
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform routine assessments and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and handoffs
- Support patient and family education to promote recovery and well-being
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) — active or eligible in New York
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
- Comfortable working day shifts in an acute or long-term care setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; a positive, patient-focused attitude
- Previous clinical experience preferred but new grads with clinical training are welcome to apply
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program; High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic pharmacology knowledge
- Proficient in patient assessments and vital sign monitoring
- Skilled in wound care, ADL assistance, and basic procedures common to LPN practice
- Accurate clinical documentation and electronic charting familiarity
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during a busy 8-hour shift
- Professional bedside manner and strong patient/family communication
