Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), primarily weekdays with some weekends; every-other-weekend rotation (approximately 3-4 weekend days per month)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Start and manage IVs and peripheral/PICC lines safely and efficiently
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to ensure safe outcomes
- Continuously monitor vitals and cardiac telemetry, interpreting dysrhythmias when needed
- Respond on Rapid Response and Code teams to stabilize patients in emergencies
- Provide patient and family education about treatments and self-care plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Chart accurately and timely in EPIC to maintain clear clinical documentation
- Float to lower-acuity units as needed to support patient flow and team needs
Qualifications
- Active Ohio RN license required
- Minimum 2+ years of clinical acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification required; IV certification required
- EPIC experience preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication, critical thinking and multitasking skills
- Travel nursing experience is a plus
- Flu vaccination required per facility guideline (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Rapid Response/Code team participation and emergency response
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, PICC line management and peripheral line care
- Chest tube management and respiratory support including oxygen delivery
- Patient monitoring, assessment and early recognition of clinical change
- Isolation precautions and appropriate use of PPE
- Proficient charting in EPIC EMR
- Excellent communication, critical thinking and multitasking abilities
