Shift Type: Night schedule, 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; rotating D/N possible with shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks; weekend shifts vary based on unit needs (secure corrections environment)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Float confidently across Oncology Medical-Surgical and PCU units to meet patient needs
- Provide skilled telemetry monitoring and interpret/manage dysrhythmias at the bedside
- Administer and manage IV therapy including central lines, PICCs, blood products and starting IVs
- Deliver safe patient care in a locked corrections unit while coordinating with Corrections Officers
- Support oncology-focused care including chemo administration/monitoring when qualified
- Perform respiratory support tasks including HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy care
- Follow and document all care in EPIC and utilize Pyxis for medication workflows
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, rapid response) to optimize outcomes
Qualifications
- BLS required
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience (must meet within the last 3 years) with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass
- EPIC charting experience required
- Comfort and ability to work in a secure corrections environment with controlled access
- Experience with Medical-Surgical/Telemetry settings; oncology experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with patient ratios ~1:3 (PCU) and 1:4-5 (MS)
- Willingness to complete a 72-hour orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication system proficiency
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition/management
- IV therapy skills: peripheral IVs, starting IVs, central line and PICC management, blood product administration
- Oncology fundamentals: chemo administration and monitoring (preferred)
- Endocrine care including IV insulin protocols and titration familiarity
- Respiratory care: HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care and ABG interpretation
- Familiarity with heparin protocols, PCA management, and rapid response/code workflows
- Feeding tube care, dialysis pre/post management, and isolation precautions/PPE
