Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour and 24-hour shifts (in-house and on-call); 12 shifts per month (approximately 18 days off per month). On-call from home during off shifts. Optional additional 4-hour newborn nursery shifts at Lakeside. Shift type: rotating (day/night).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with neonatologists to plan and deliver high-quality neonatal care across four Level II NICUs
- Provide hands-on assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management of newborns and infants
- Cover multiple facilities (Lakeside, Southwest, Canadian Valley, Edmond) with flexibility and professionalism
- Participate in in-house and on-call coverage, ensuring continuity of care for patients and families
- Support and communicate with families, providing education and compassionate guidance during critical moments
- Contribute to quality improvement, safety initiatives, and best-practice neonatal care processes
Qualifications
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) certification or equivalent advanced practice qualification
- Active and unrestricted APRN/NP license in Oklahoma (or ability to obtain state licensure promptly)
- Experience in NICU/Neonatal care and newborn nursery practice; in-house/on-call experience a plus
- Comfort covering multiple Level II NICU sites and providing collaborative care with neonatologists
- Residency within the immediate local area is required; relocation may be necessary

Knowledge & Skills
- Strong neonatal assessment and resuscitation skills
- Knowledge of Level II NICU protocols and newborn nursery workflows
- Ability to work independently during in-house/on-call shifts and to escalate appropriately
- Excellent communication and family-centered care skills
- Flexibility with shift patterns and covering multiple facilities
- Team-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving
