Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely clinical laboratory testing in blood banking and chemistry to support patient care
- Operate and maintain Ortho Vision blood bank analyzers and Ortho Vitros chemistry systems with attention to calibration and QC
- Use Epic Beaker (LIS) for specimen processing, result entry, and troubleshooting of data/workflow issues
- Run quality control procedures, document results, and take corrective action when necessary to ensure test integrity
- Troubleshoot routine instrument issues and coordinate with biomedical service when needed
- Communicate test results, critical values, and specimen concerns clearly with clinical teams
- Maintain a safe, compliant laboratory environment by following policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture and assist with cross-coverage as schedule requires
Qualifications
- Active Medical Technologist (MT) license (MT License required)
- BLS certification required
- Hands-on experience with Epic Beaker (Laboratory Information System)
- Experience with Ortho Vision blood bank analyzers and Ortho Vitros chemistry platforms
- Proven clinical laboratory experience in blood banking and clinical chemistry
- Ability to work rotating schedule including weekend 12-hour shifts and weekday swing coverage
- Available for quick start (assignment begins March 5, 2026) and able to complete a 13-week contract through June 4, 2026
