Shift Type: 3x12-hour Day shifts per week (schedule days vary), 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Day shift; every-other-weekend coverage, may float to other areas as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to keep patients safe and informed
- Respond to dysrhythmias and collaborate with the rapid response/code team when needed
- Start and maintain IVs, manage central and PICC lines, and administer medications per protocols
- Perform accurate patient assessments, document thoroughly in EPIC, and communicate findings to the care team
- Manage insulin drips and heparin protocols following established guidelines
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions that empower recovery and self-care
- Support post-surgical and progressive care patients, including wound care and management of surgical drains
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary services like PT, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social work to coordinate holistic care
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in Ohio or compact state (must be active and in good standing)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience with telemetry or progressive care experience required
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- IV certification and competency in IV starts and peripheral/Central line care
- Ability to pass the facility telemetry test prior to start
- EPIC charting experience required
- Flu vaccine required per facility guideline (medical exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Comfort with floating to other units and working with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
- Current RN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation
- Management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and PICC/central line care
- Titration of insulin drips and familiarity with IV insulin protocols
- Heparin protocol familiarity and medication administration skills
- Wound care, surgical drain management, and basic post-surgical care
- Oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting and strong patient education skills
- Ability to work in MS/Tele and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown settings
