Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with respiratory and cardiac conditions with expertise and compassion
- Provide respiratory therapies and interventions to improve patient breathing and comfort
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to develop and implement respiratory care plans
- Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatments as directed to optimize outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions and patient progress clearly and accurately
- Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and escalate care as needed
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Respiratory Therapist license (required)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Comfort caring for patients with respiratory and cardiac illness
- Ability to work night shift and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Active, up-to-date licensure and credentials ready for verification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong foundation in respiratory therapy principles and patient assessment
- Experience with respiratory interventions and patient monitoring
- Skilled in patient-centered care and effective communication
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and prioritize urgent needs
- Basic documentation and electronic medical record familiarity
