Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized OT plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills
- Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
- Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
- Educate patients and families to support independence and safety
- Advocate for patient needs and contribute to discharge planning
Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in California or eligible to obtain state licensure
- Active OTR credential or equivalent certification where applicable
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfort working across common OT settings and with diverse patient populations
- Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication, and teamwork mindset
Education
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (entry-level degree required; Master’s preferred where applicable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in occupational therapy evaluation and treatment planning
- Experience with adaptive equipment and activities of daily living training
- Familiarity with documentation standards and EMR charting
- Ability to collaborate with PTs, SLPs, nursing, and case management
- Good time management and caseload prioritization skills
