Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide school-based occupational therapy services to K-12 students, focusing on functional skills that support classroom participation
• Assess student needs using evidence-based pediatric OT evaluations and develop individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to implement IEP goals and classroom strategies
• Deliver meaningful, targeted interventions that improve fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
• Document student progress and maintain clear, timely records in accordance with district guidelines
• Support staff with classroom adaptations and recommendations to promote inclusive learning environments
• Participate in meetings, case conferences, and professional development to enhance student outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
• Experience or strong interest in school-based therapy and working with K-12 students
• Comfortable collaborating with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Willingness to provide three references with submission; two supervisory references required
• Clear background check and ability to meet district onboarding requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles and school-based practice
• Familiarity with IEP processes, accommodations, and educational documentation
• Skilled in pediatric assessment tools and functional goal writing
• Strong communication and coaching skills for working with teachers and parents
• Ability to adapt therapy strategies to diverse classroom settings and individual student needs
• Organizational skills for scheduling across multiple schools and managing caseloads
