Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive sleep testing with attention to patient safety and comfort
- Monitor and record physiologic data during studies and perform initial analysis
- Implement appropriate sleep interventions under general supervision to support care plans
- Collaborate with sleep technologists and facility leadership to maintain high-quality care
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintain equipment calibration and cleanliness
- Educate patients on study procedures and provide compassionate, clear guidance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a polysomnography program preferred
- Certification preferred: CPSGT or RPSGT (or actively pursuing certification)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Experience with sleep testing, sleep analysis, and sleep interventions a big plus
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to work night shifts
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Polysomnography program completion or related clinical training preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable operating polysomnography equipment and troubleshooting basic issues
- Knowledge of sleep staging, scoring basics, and common sleep disorder presentations
- Patient-centered approach with strong observation and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts and escalate issues appropriately
- Familiarity with infection control, safety protocols, and clinical workflows
