Shift Type: Night shifts, 4x10 schedule, 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM (third shift). Typically four nights per week, includes 2 weekends per month and holidays as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret hematology testing, including manual differentials to ensure accurate results
• Run and maintain coagulation assays and urinalysis testing with attention to quality
• Manage blood bank and transfusion tasks including specimen handling and compatibility testing
• Perform instrument maintenance and routine quality control to keep the lab running smoothly
• Process and evaluate body fluids and document results accurately and promptly
• Troubleshoot instrument or QC issues and escalate when patient safety or accuracy is a concern
• Communicate clearly with clinical teams to support timely patient care decisions

Qualifications

• MT (Medical Technologist) or MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) certification or equivalent
• Current state laboratory license if required by OH licensure rules
• Experience in blood bank/transfusion services, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis
• Strong knowledge of instrument maintenance and quality control procedures
• Comfortable performing manual differentials and body fluid analyses
• Ability to work independently on night shift and collaborate with a high-volume lab team

Education

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Clinical Laboratory Science (MT) preferred
