Shift Type: Day 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; typically weekdays with some weekends; rotating holidays (day shift, rotating schedule with every-other-weekend coverage)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry and PCU/stepdown nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
- Perform IV starts and manage IV therapy, including central and peripheral line care
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent arrhythmias
- Implement and follow heparin and insulin protocols and manage insulin drips per policy
- Manage cardiac drips per protocol (initiate/start as indicated then transfer to ICU if escalation required)
- Provide respiratory support including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
- Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC to ensure clear communication and continuity of care
- Float to equivalent or lower acuity units as needed and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (respiratory, pharmacy, PT, rapid response, etc.)
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years PCU/Stepdown experience required
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- IV Start skill required
- Telemetry experience required
- EPIC experience required
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) experience preferred
- Previous travel experience preferred but not required
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac monitoring expertise
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- IV therapy, phlebotomy, IV start proficiency, and central/peripheral line care
- Experience with heparin protocols and insulin drip titration protocols
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic charting
- Comfort managing high-flow oxygen therapies and related respiratory care
- Ability to work with a wide variety of adult diagnoses including cardiology, pulmonology, renal and hepatology
