Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist clinicians with patient intake and clinical workflows to keep care moving smoothly
- Obtain and record vital signs and relevant patient information accurately
- Prepare patients and supplies for examinations and minor procedures
- Maintain clear, timely documentation in the medical record and support continuity of care
- Communicate with patients and internal teams professionally and compassionately
- Support infection control and safety protocols within the facility at all times
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant background or certification (Class: MA)
- Available to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and attend the 2-week training (M-F)
- Comfortable working onsite at Richard J. Donovan Correctional facility
- Ability to pass any facility-required screenings and comply with site policies
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with patient intake and basic clinical procedures
- Accurate vital signs collection and documentation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient interaction and charting
- Familiarity with infection control and standard clinical safety practices
- Ability to follow protocols and support efficient clinic workflows
- Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
