Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, age-specific direct patient care using the Nursing Process
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Lead and delegate nursing tasks to appropriate team members
• Ensure compliance with applicable State and Federal laws and facility policies
• Maintain and verify required certifications prior to or during clinical orientation
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
• Participate in unit-based quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) — active licensure (appropriate state licensure required)
• ACLS and BLS required; PALS or ENPC required prior to start (or course booked by clinical orientation)
• De-escalation training required prior to start (or course booked by clinical orientation)
• Experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry care (experience preferred)
• Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Direct patient care and Nursing Process proficiency
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Age-specific care across the lifespan
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS/ENPC competency
• De-escalation techniques and safe patient handling
• Delegation, team coordination, and unit leadership
• Knowledge of specialty-specific standards and regulatory compliance
