Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluation and treatment to adults in a rehab/outpatient setting
• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on functional outcomes and patient goals
• Deliver therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities as appropriate
• Monitor progress, update plans of care, and communicate changes with the interdisciplinary team
• Document thoroughly and timely to meet clinical and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and strategies to maximize independence
• Collaborate with case managers, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate excellent care

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Alabama or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT or Master’s-level program)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working within a rehab/outpatient environment and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and patient-centered communication

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in musculoskeletal and neurologic rehabilitation approaches
• Proficient with therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and functional mobility
• Excellent documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health records
• Ability to set meaningful goals and measure functional outcomes
• Good interpersonal skills for patient education and team collaboration
