Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day) with weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess respiratory patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Operate and manage ventilators and other respiratory support equipment
- Administer respiratory therapies and monitor patient response
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care, home equipment, and prevention
- Document care accurately and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department best practices
Qualifications
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain one
- CRT or RRT credential preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
- Clinical experience as an RT preferred; new grads with strong clinical training encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to handle urgent/critical respiratory situations calmly and effectively
Education
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or completion of an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Completion of clinical training required for licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ventilator management and weaning protocols
- Proficiency with oxygen therapy, nebulizers, and airway management
- Ability to perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Familiarity with pulmonary function testing and respiratory diagnostics
- Patient assessment, infection control, and documentation best practices
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and charting
