Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document vital signs, intake/output, and patient observations accurately
- Assist the care team with safe patient transfers and mobility support
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Support the patient experience by responding promptly to needs and concerns
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Local candidates only (Santa Fe area) — able to start within 2 weeks
- Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain if requested by facility
Education
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and bathing, feeding, and toileting assistance
- Vital signs measurement and accurate clinical documentation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Infection prevention and adherence to facility policies
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
