Candidate Pay Rate: $51 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and medication management for an adult patient population
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with behavioral health staff
- Conduct timely documentation and maintain high standards of clinical records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and improve outcomes
- Respond to on-call needs and emergent psychiatric situations when scheduled
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice within the psychiatric program
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with completion of psychiatry residency
- Active and unrestricted California medical license required
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry preferred
- Willingness to perform on-call duties as part of coverage
- Experience in correctional, forensic, or community mental health settings is a strong plus
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills
- Current DEA registration or ability to obtain one
Education
- MD or DO (Psychiatry residency completed)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in psychopharmacology and evidence-based psychiatric treatments
- Comfort working in a multidisciplinary team with nurses, therapists, and correctional staff
- Clear, concise clinical documentation and communication skills
- Crisis assessment and de-escalation skills
- Culturally competent care and ability to work with diverse adult populations
