Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care as a Licensed Practical Nurse on the unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately according to care plans
• Monitor and document vital signs, patient status changes, and clinical interventions
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Support activities of daily living and provide comfort measures to residents
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to keep them informed and involved in care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Maryland or eligible for Maryland licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Previous LPN clinical experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and reliable assessment skills
• Ability to work night shift hours and respond calmly in fast-paced situations
• Comfortable using electronic charting and following facility protocols

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or certificate (LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid fundamentals in medication administration and wound care
• Proficient in taking and interpreting vital signs and basic assessments
• Clear, empathetic communication with patients, families, and team members
• Accurate documentation and attention to detail in clinical records
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care environment
• Familiarity with infection prevention practices and safety standards
