Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Shift Type: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (days vary)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
- Provide compassionate support during meals and assist with feeding as required
- Monitor and document resident observations such as behavior and general condition
- Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
- Follow care plans and report changes to the nursing team promptly to ensure excellent continuity of care
- Practice infection control and maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff
- Communicate kindly and clearly with residents, families, and teammates to foster trust and teamwork
Qualifications
- GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Basic vital signs and observational skills
- Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with infection control practices
- Clear documentation and basic charting abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
